    \n Community Visit: Cross-Sector Cooperation \u2013 Promoting Social Inclusiveness <\/h1>\n

    The Hong Kong Council of Social Service organised a community visit on 23 August 2013 for some 10 representatives of the Caring Companies. They visited The Providence Garden for Rehab (PGR) of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council, including Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Service Centre and Cafe Fusion (a social enterprise of the organization). PGR provides innovative and diversified services for about 1,000 ex-mentally ill persons, people of different levels of mentally handicapped and severe physical disabilities since 2006.<\/p>\n

    During the visitation, company representatives learnt more about the care and residential services for the ex-mentally ill persons, employment and community support for helping the service users reintegrate into society. By understanding the capability of the ex-mentally ill and disabled people, it creates more room for developing cross-sectoral project initiative that focus on the needs of the community.<\/p>\n
