The Caring Company Scheme 2018/19 has commenced. If you have already scheduled any prior commitment of partnering with charitable organisations in community services in 2018, please start the liaison with your social service partners to discuss about the nomination details this year.

Stair Climbing Service Pilot Programme
In 2018, HKCSS gain the support from the Keswick Foundation and Lee Hysan Foundation to co-organize the Stair Climbing Service with 4 partner NGOs, namely the Caritas Hong Kong, Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service – Hong Kong, Hong Kong Christian Service and St. James’ Settlement. The 1-year pilot programme could help service users to leave home safely and easily to enjoy quality time in the community.

"SME Mentorship Programme" 2018-20: Phase One of Application for SME Mentees is Open Now
"SME Mentorship Programme" is organised by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB). Veteran practitioners volunteered to serve as mentors to share their professional advice and practical experience in manpower training and development with SMEs during the mentorship period, so as to improve the quality of their human resources systems and practices. The programme is now open for application. Participation is free of charge. All SMEs in Hong Kong are welcome to join.
Phase One of application for the programme as mentee will be closed on 31 July 2018 (Tuesday).
Serve-a-thon 2018 was successfully held in 5-13 May, 2018. This year, over 50 NGOs added 152 volunteer activities in total to the Serve-a-thon calendar, mobilized about 1,900 volunteers from corporate, schools and families took part in the initiative in support of 18,099 people in need.
In this Year, volunteer activities included doing household maintenance for the elderly, packing food boxes, fruits and vegetables for low income families and disadvantaged groups, planting trees, cleaning beaches and visiting stray dogs. In 2018, there was a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries and volunteers participation, 15% and 88% respectively.
