Company Visit – Power Assets Holdings Ltd.

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) organized a half-day Company Visit on 4 July 2012 for students of the HKU-FUDAN IMBA Program. The visit enabled the participants to learn more about the knowledge and global trends on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and how local corporations integrate CSR into their business operations and long-term strategic planning.

The event consisted of two parts. In the first part, Mrs. Brenda Lee, Consultant of The HKCSS-Caring Company Scheme, and Ms Mimi Yeung, General Manager (Public Affairs) of Power Assets Holdings Limited (Power Assets) shared topics on CSR in Hong Kong, and CSR development of Power Assets. In the second part, there was a tour to the control centre of Power Assets, located at Apleichau. Besides, the representatives of Power Assets also introduced the new Electric vehicles (EVs) scheme that aims at improving air quality in Hong Kong.

Some 60 IMBA students joined the event. During the sharing session, participants showed interest in the CSR practices as well as the development of CSR between Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Through this event, the participants understood more about the CSR strategies and implementation of corporations in Hong Kong.

Ms Mimi Yeung, General Manager (Public Affairs), Power Assets Holdings Limited shared their successful case at the seminar.

Mrs Brenda Lee, Consultant of Caring Company Scheme shared the topic on “Corporate Social Responsibility in Hong Kong”.
