Workshop on Supporting Employees on Work-Family Balance - Interpersonal Skills Series

In response to the International Year of the Family, a series of workshops on family wellness were organized in addressing matters related to work and family balance for employees. Under the series of Interpersonal Skills, a workshop namely u0022How to build trust relationship for a coupleu0022 and u0022Keep friendly relationship with mother-in-law u0026amp; affinityu0022 was successfully held in July u0026amp; Aug 2013, with the guest speaker Mr Raymond Ng and Ms Sharon Chau, Senior Training Consultant of the Family Wellness Centre of HKYWCA, to share experiences with around 25 employees.

Love, respect, inclusion, patience and forgiveness are important elements of marriage. Male and female are born to be very different not only because of how they have been brought up, and the difference in personalities could be affecting how couples deal with conflicts. The one who is willing to face the challenge of settling conflicts should be appreciated as this helps solve problem and rebuild mutual understanding. Couples are advised to pay more efforts in maintaining good relationship, it is important to keep faith in mind with actions of love. To lessen conflicts and build harmonious relationship with parents-in-law, it is important to get consensus among the couple on dealing with the matter. It would always help if the kind intention of parents could be appreciated more. This series was sponsored by the Community of Chest of Hong Kong.
