Partnership Day for Cross Professional Collaboration

Public organisations and professional bodies have been actively participating in community services and developing partnerships with social service organisations with their unique expertise and experience to serve the community. A tea gathering – u0022Partnership Day for Cross Professional Collaborationu0022 was organised on 27 April 2007 in Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, with honorary guests from The Hong Kong Police Force and CPA Australia Hong Kong China Division to share their experience on cross-sectoral partnerships. A number of participants from businesses, public organizations and professional groups and shared with each other their experience of partnering with social service organisations.
The Hong Kong Police Force has been awarded the u0022Total Caring Award – Organisation 2006/07u0022. The organisation promotes the culture of u0022Building a Caring Workforceu0022 to over 30,000 disciplined and civilian staff in the Force through organising varieties of community activities and incorporates the caring spirit in its organisational culture.
CPA Australia Hong Kong China Division has been one of the awardees for the Caring Organisation Logo in 2006/07. It has been encouraging 9,000 members with finance and business professions to participate in community activities, to care for the children in deprived families and enhance the corporate governance of NGOs.
Ms Christine Fang, the Chief Executive of HKCSS appreciated the efforts paid by public organisations and professional bodies to work with social service organisations in bringing care to communities in need and enhancing management efficiency of NGOs. The experience of The Hong Kong Police Force and CPA Australia Hong Kong China Division has set good examples for reference.
