Public workshop of u0022The CSR Guide for SMEs in Hong Kongu0022 was successfully held on March 13, 2012. Over 100 people attended. The speakers included Mrs Brenda Lee, Consultant of the Caring Company Scheme u0026amp; HKCSS CSR Institute and Ms Anita Wong, Project Manager of CSR Asia. They elaborated the six major areas of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Guidebook with best practice and practical tips.
Two groups of guest speaker were invited to share their success stories. They included Ms HW Chan, Company Consultant u0026amp; Mr Orwell Wan, Human Resources u0026amp; Administration Manager of OKIA Optical Company Limited, the awardee of the Gold Award (SME) of First Hong Kong Corporate Citizenship Award, Mr Chris Chan, Executive Director of BannerSHOP Hong Kong Limited, the awardee of the Community Engagement Gold Award of HSBC Living Business Award 2011. Both companies were exemplary examples which had successfully integrated CSR into their business operations and management philosophy in achieving competitive advantages and sustainability. They encouraged SMEs to make use of their own competitive advantages and flexibility to carry out CSR.

Public workshop was held on March 13, 2012. The speakers introduced the first CSR guide for SMEs in Hong Kong and examples of best practice at the workshop.
