Progress Update: HKCSS Caring Company Scheme – Support Fund for Tai Po Wang Fuk Court
02.06.2026
2 June 2026 – As the emergency relief phase transitions into sustained recovery, this third progress report marks the Support Fund’s strategic pivot from immediate crisis intervention to an expanded service scope. This broader mandate encompasses not only care services such as relocation assistance, mental health support, and grief counseling, but also long-term community rehabilitation and proactive disaster prevention.
Financial Update & Mobilisation
Following the closure of public fund collection on 13 February 2026, the Fund’s capital base remains unchanged at HK$25,975,646.78 with no interim project allocations made over the past two months. This pooling of remaining balance of HK$19,019,786.78 ensures a robust allocation for the Open Call for Proposals, which will form the comprehensive 4th Batch of funding disbursements.
As pledged, HKCSS has absorbed all administrative and credit card fees, ensuring 100% of donations are dedicated to the affected community.
Open Call for Proposals
The Support Fund launched an Open Call for Proposals from 19 March to 17 April 2026, expanding its service scope to focus on long-term care, social network rebuilding, and disaster prevention. The sector response reflects a critical demand for support, yielding 62 proposals from 61 eligible NGOs and Social Enterprises, with total funding requests reaching HK$96,777,234.20.
Submissions are currently undergoing a thorough internal review. Applications will be prioritised based on content relevancy, verified service needs, target audience vulnerability, and organisational capacity. The notification of results is targeted for late June to mid-July 2026.
Progress of Batch 1, 2 & 3 Projects
The execution progress of the first three batches (involving 12 partner organisations) is as follows:
Cumulative Reach: Support has been provided to 1,063 households and 1,376 individuals.
Service Delivery: A total of 6,741 professional service hours have been recorded.
Demographic Breakdown: Approximately 37.2% of beneficiaries were elderly, 19.8% were children and youth, and 2.5% were domestic helpers.
We remain deeply grateful for our donors’ vital support in this community’s recovery. The next progress update will be issued in early August 2026.
